Bring your non-negotiables
Choose three requirements that would make or break a move. Examples include planning depth, operating autonomy, or the ability to serve a particular client need. Ask the same core questions of every firm so the comparison stays useful.
Ask to see the workflow
A platform description is not a demonstration. Walk through onboarding, billing, a service issue, and a planning review using fictional client information. Ask who answers when something fails and which team owns escalation.
Record uncertainty
